An individuals daily work habits can positively or negatively affect the likelihood of developing an injury or illness.
Did you know that the majority of office workers spend a whopping 76% of their time sitting. And that this sedentary lifestyle is a major contributor to obesity and chronic diseases such as type II diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease and death. Another alarming statistic from  from the University of Sydney found that people who sit for 11 hours or more a day are 40 per cent more likely to die within three years than those who sit for less than four hours.
We all know the importance of great posture at work. Poor posture can lead to back and neck pain and tension, headaches, nerve pain, stress, poor digestion, insomnia, the list goes on…  Poor posture can manifest from bad habits that are repeated daily. Small things can develop into big problems very quickly but with some simple and easy adjustments,  great posture is achievable.
