Singleton's Mill,Hawkesbury River, NSW, which was built in 1834 for brothers, James and Benjamin Singleton. It was used to 'ground wheat and maize...until the great flood of 1867' which caused extensive damage. Despite it falling into disuse, much of its 'antiquated machinery' still existed when this article was published. It was even said to have been haunted and it remained a tourist attraction until it was demolished in the early 1900s.

Formed at RAAF Base Laverton as a transport unit in 1943, it provided transport throughout the South West Pacific Theatre until its disbandment in 1948. In 1966, it was re-established as a C-130 Hercules transport unit at RAAF Base Richmond, and continues to serve in this role today...
