Photographer: Anthony Samanegio (Centrefold) ~ All of Anthony's images, contain a vibrant, but not overdone colour palate or mostly pink tinges. I intend to use a similar vibrancy in my images to further assist with the idea of my series.

Photographer: Anthony Samanegio (Centrefold) ~ The photographer combines a surreal colour palate with abstracted objects in both the fore and background to make a scene more beautiful than it's reality. I intend to use this idea of abstractures and a vibrant colour palate in my series.

Kozik went out to have a cigarette after the appointment, so I saw this as a perfect opportunity to take some shots for my 'informal, formal portrait'. They are great shots, in my opinion, however, they lack some contextual meaning in terms of the background subject matter being irrelevant.

Stage 2 Post Production: I took the image back into LR and brought detail and light into the blacks, however, the result wasn't as good as the image was at the beginning. The stage 1 process will be used as a final 'formal portrait' for this series.

FINAL // Stage 1 Post Production: Initially, I knew I wanted to exceed the rules of what a 'formal portrait' actually is, an 'informal, formal portrait' if you will. I captured Kosik on his way to his studio, progressing down a hall of magnificent work by other artists, whilst still managing to capture the tattoo on the back of his head in the centre of it all.

Choosing an image that encaptured the 'final product' was the hardest part. I tried to shoot all different compositions of the tattoo's final stage, both raw and with other objects included. This image isn't at all final worthy.

At the end of the appointment, the artist photographs the work he has just done for his own portfolio. I thought I would return to the idea of 'a frame within a frame' and capture the tattoo both in and out of his phone. The image came out alright, however, not good enough to be considered a final.

I attempted to get a shot from above that did include some extent of form in the tattoo. I asked the client to hold his hand over the ground as it was the perfect colour to bring his hand forward in the image. I love this photograph to be a final piece, however, I'm still on the fence whereas to put it in the series or not.

In this image, I tried to apply a sense of form to the tattoo. Instead of simply photographing it from above and showing no texture, I got low enough to really open it up and capture as much detail as possible. This image turned out quite well, however, it does not match others in my series and therefore cannot be a final piece.
