The Hull People's Memorial will be raised in the centre of Kingston upon Hull in time for the 75th anniversary of the city's worst weekend of bombing, the 7th/8th and 8th/9th May 1941. Kingston upon Hull was bomber during World War I and II and was the UK's most devastated place during the second World War.
We have managed to get a lot more out on display since we received and fitted our new cabinets, funded by Red Nose Community Cash and Two Ridings.
In World War Two Kingston upon Hull was the most devastated city in the United Kingdom. In both World Wars only London received more raids. In Hull, a much smaller city, the destruction was much more concentrated and effective.
