I love this quote because it speaks to following your creative instincts and doing what you love which you tend to be good at. Do you find that things you are good at, at the ones you enjoy the most and vice versa?
This quote really resonates with me because it is makes me think about success in a different way to the traditional signals of mainly material and monetary achievements. Does it resonate with you? What is your measure of 'success'? For me, it's about personal growth, learning something new, living in line with my values. Join the conversation in the Facebook group!
Another wonderful quote I came across in Breathe magazine which is one of my favourite publications at the moment! The quote speaks to me because I've been used to following my head for most of my life and I'm now choosing to listen to my heart and my feelings. This had led me to pursuing creative interests I had buried for a while! And I am finding my "real self" as a result. What comforts have you left in order to find yourself? This quote really speaks to me because I certainly consider myself a beginner at anything creative and in many ways producing art is all about expressing yourself, so there are no right or wrongs! I also did a bit of research on John Ruskin because I've come across a couple of great quotes. He was the leading English art critic of the Victorian era, as well as an art patron, draughtsman, water colourist, a prominent social thinker and philanthropist.
