mj and i made a dozen of these yesterday. i couldn't find any plain jars, i used the quilted look jelly jars. they were the perfect size...no negative space at the top, and the look extra sparkly, but it is harder to see what the card is. -rmw

Although peanut brittle may be the most common variety, you can also use other whole nuts such as cashews, hazelnuts, almonds, or pecans, as well as toasted pumpkin seeds. When giving as a gift, package this brittle block with cellophane, and include a small hammer and bow.
Using scraps of wrapping paper, you can whip up a rolled paper tree in minutes! Attach to decorative paper and insert into a frame, and voila! You're done!
