Photographer: Nathan 4yrs | Comment: When asked why he took this particular photo he replied "just 'cause it is nature and pretty." When prompted, he told me that it showed the tops of his favourite trees and also the beautiful blue sky. He added that it was his "scenery" (a word he has recently and proudly learned during a family day trip) | © Nature Play QLD 2016

Photographer: Charlotte 8yrs | Comment: recognising the flowering of the herb as they go to see. Comment: The flower smells like food but it could be the smell coming from the onion, is the flower edible too? We were then able to establish whether it was a herb or vegetable. Learning about photography and how you can see things differently through the eyes of a camera. Excited to use macro for this experience and be able to see detail from being up close to nature. | © Nature Play QLD 2016

Photographer: Miss MLB 7yrs | Comment: "I really like collecting bugs. This bug is eating the leaf so it grows and makes more bugs. You can see how much it has eaten already. This is a grasshopper, but I don't know what type of grasshopper." | © Nature Play QLD 2016

Photographer: Miss Z 4yrs | Comment: I saw a tree today. The creek is so deep that I think I could swim in it or float in it. | © Nature Play QLD 2016
