a bathroom with a sink, mirror and window
NoMad | RESIDENTIAL
NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Est Living Features Writer Holly Beadle says of the apartment space, "spacious volumes and expressive shapes render it a private gallery, encouraging anyone who visits to treat it as such. The theme which underpins the interiors is that of wandering – through the spaces and one’s thoughts."

Queens Park House | RESIDENTIAL
Queens Park House | RESIDENTIAL | Clever use of proportion and scale allow this wash basin to sit neatly tucked away between built-in cabinetry. Small but still luxurious; the contemporary burnished brass tapware and rendered concrete finish offer a modern aesthetic. See more of this space via https://alexanderand.co/projects/queens-park-house-clone/

Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL
Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL | The combined brass finishes of @astrawalkerofficial tapware, @snellingstudio Arch Wall Light and @spectrumartglass custom mirror in the powder room at Pacific House are reflected in the warm veining of the @artedomus Smeraldo polished quartzite vanity and sink. All of which is offset by this soft, grey proyalbi Portuguese plaster. See more of our projects at https://alexanderand.co/projects/

Alexander House | RESIDENTIAL
IN FOCUS | Alexander House | The painterly application of these dark walls by one of our favourite colourists @ludibragainterior gives this space a luxurious and nocturnal feeling. The dramatic @worldstone_australia marble and Shigura Ban chair all combine to create a restful retreat. See more of this space via https://alexanderand.co/projects/

Oak House | RESIDENTIAL
IN FOCUS | Oak House | The dark honed Nero Marquina marble splashback and vanity from @dilorenzo_tiles and contrasting wall panelling detail create a timeless design. Framed by a custom-designed, burnished brass and glass door, the shower space cavity allows for plenty of natural light to filter through into the bathroom. Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL
"The room is formally quite simple, monolithic and only a bit decorative. It's a moment of modernity with a touch of the feminine." says our Associate Shelby Griffiths. Often conceived as the gem of a home, the place where you can be a little more daring or decorative. The concept was no different in Pacific House, originally a pink marble, our clients visited @artedomus and fell in love with the scattered warm veining and vibrant emerald green of the Smeraldo polished quartzite.
Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL
Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL | A bathtub with a view of the Pacific Ocean headlines the bathroom features of Tamarama Hill House. Discover all the material details and custom finishes across both the master and secondary bathrooms of this seaside home.

Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL
Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL | It is often that secondary bathrooms within a home lack the novelty of master ensuites or powder rooms. Given the enormous cost of wet areas, seeking the ‘novel’ within these rooms can be quite challenging, and small details come to matter most. In this Tamarama house, simply modifying the floor grout dimension differentiates its language from the rest of the house in a simple but striking way.

Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL
Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL | A bathtub with a view to the ocean is contained under the angled soffit of this mansard roof, notes our Principal Jeremy Bull. We added a steel framed pivot door which could create some privacy when needed, but it otherwise remains open connecting the ensuite bathroom and master bedroom. Discover more online.

Tamarama Hill House | RESIDENTIAL
PRACTICE NOTES | Tamarama Hill House | "The difficulty of working within a constrained mansard roof volume precipitated this wonderful shaped ceiling, explains our Principal Jeremy Bull. The dual curve of the walls and ceiling above the bath in polished plaster make this baths throne with a view toward the beach at Tamarama."

Genovese Coffee House | HOSPITALITY
Genovese Coffee House | HOSPITALITY | Our design intent was to introduce as little new-built materials to the venue as possible. This repurposed bathroom sink - a secondhand concrete 3 bay trough with a specialty textured wall finish in Dulux ‘White Swan’ applied by Ludi Braga Interior - is a sustainable element that complements the existing warehouse space and works to hero its age, patina and imperfections.

Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL
Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL | We love to see our projects featured by @est_living. 'Bathroom Blueprints' details 10 bathrooms from around the globe, where design enacts ritual and respite. Of the Pacific House powder room our Associate Shelby Griffiths says, "The room is formally quite simple, monolithic and only a bit decorative. It's a moment of modernity with a touch of the feminine."

NoMad Bathroom
Conceived as an artists studio, this residential space is a gallery of daring handmade shapes in concert with one another. Explored here in the form of a feature pink concrete bench by concrete bespoke which floats above the similarly irregular shaped Calacatta Wide Scarpa Mosaic tiles from Lulo Tile.

Alexander House | by Alexander &CO.
Alexander House | The interior details within this bathroom are a mix of natural materials in alternating degrees of refinement and finishes. From the custom @concretebespoke basin and mirror, @brodware aged brass accessories to the Kasbah white Gloss tile from @surfacegallery the palette aims to convey a calming and serene sophistication. . #alexanderhouse #bathroomspace #bathroominspiration #bathroom #alexanderandco #alexanderandcoteam #architecture #interiordesign #australiandesign

Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL
Pacific House | RESIDENTIAL | Creating a path, the honed mosaic tiles by Bisanna Tiles lead you through the master ensuite, revealing the beautiful cliffside scenery and a peak into the master bedroom. A classic Carrara bath, in line with the exterior walls of the house, and Italian Surface Gallery terrazzo perpendicular to the bath, put emphasis on the frame and are an ode to the rough coastline materiality.

Alexander House | RESIDENTIAL
Alexander House | RESIDENTIAL | This is one of three bathrooms within AH and is located on the top floor of our loft. We chose the flesh-like, pink marble Rosso Crema Tiles from Teranova Tiles to remind the user of the visceral nature of the experience self-care. It's also a pink repeated throughout other moments of the house.

Oak House | RESIDENTIAL
Oak House | RESIDENTIAL | “A small powder room conceals a shower within this wet room. We used a brass framed screen and hammered glass to conceal the shower whilst still letting the light through. It’s a little more classic when compared to our usual work and I wonder if simply playing with the variety of stone; from the Nero Marquina to something more playful, would have had a completely different impact upon the room,”.- Principal Jeremy Bull

Oak House | RESIDENTIAL
Oak House | RESIDENTIAL | Reflecting the rest of the home, this main ensuite space references a luxurious European aesthetic. Burnished brass tapware by Brodware and a custom carved Arabescato marble basin with inlaid detailing blend contemporary and historic beautifully.

Oak House | RESIDENTIAL | “In the children's bathroom, a central stone 'pillar' divides a shower and powder room and includes brass-framed fluted-glass doors. The pillar is a relatively simple concept that is brought to scale by the sheer verticality of the stone, which may have gotten lost if the space was any lower in height,” - Principal Jeremy Bull

Spotted Gum House | RESIDENTIAL
RESIDENTIAL | Spotted Gum House bathroom | We spoke with journalist Hayley Peppin for @bazaaraustralia magazine alongside three of our fellow Australian interior design studios about what we project to see in the industry this year. "I think that we are trying to find love in our spaces. Creative love, organisational love, landscape love, artist love, even family love and the love of a partner or just our own love of ourselves,” explains our Principal Jeremy Bull.
