NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | MEDIA | Belle Magazine | Our Nomad bathroom gracing the pages of the current issue of Belle Magazine. Editor Matilda Ringrose says, "Stillness is the undercurrent that runs through this Alexander &CO. project. Once industrial storage, then used as an office this space has been softened by Architect Jeremy Bull and transformed into an exquisite inner city apartment with gallery like proportions." Thank you to Tanya Buchanan and Matilda Ringrose for the words and supporting our Practice and industry.

NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Est Living Features Writer Holly Beadle says of the apartment space, "spacious volumes and expressive shapes render it a private gallery, encouraging anyone who visits to treat it as such. The theme which underpins the interiors is that of wandering – through the spaces and one’s thoughts." Discover more via https://alexanderand.co/projects/nomad/

NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Principal Jeremy Bull says, "This is a collection of views of the concrete bench top at Nomad. We have worked with @concretebespoke for some years, making various shapes from concrete. The material itself is quite magical, taking the form of whatever mould we can fabricate, adding tone, colour, texture, ‘bug marks’. There is something fascinating in the sense of the material’s permanence, its manufactured quality, and yet it is so totally bespoke and hand made.

NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Principal Jeremy Bulls writes, "The NoMad building is an old storage facility; industrial concrete frame work and steel framed windows. It is beautiful as it is, and in many ways our brief emerged into an approach that would minimise our intervention and leave the building feeling as ‘found’ as possible. Buildings remain incomplete I think. They are unfinished overtures which change with their owners and use and time."

NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Our NoMad project is an interior alteration to an industrial building now reinvigorated with an ambient narrative and sculptural language. The three-bedroom warehouse apartment has been conceived as a contemporary, urban oasis, a gentle gallery-esque sanctuary within the hustle of the city.

NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Always love to see our work published. This month our NoMad project featured in the Autumn-Winter edition of @pointofdesignpl magazine. Thank you to Editor-in-Chief Agnieszka Bzdyra for the story. NoMad is inspired by the sculptural language of Brancusi’s workshop and was conceived as an urban oasis. Its industrial concrete shell has been softened with a beautiful selection of art and furniture, crafting a gentle and ambient gallery in the hustle of the city.

NoMad | RESIDENTIAL | Our Principal Jeremy Bull says, "Although the resulting apartment feels deliberately sparse, it’s the result of a substantial scope of works which saw the space entirely replanned with all services replaced. The client was clear on retaining the charm of gallery-esque proportion and ambience of the Pied-a-Terre. With this in mind the apartment would have low demand on storage therefore we had to maximise the living space."

PRACTICE NOTES | NoMad | Our Principal Jeremy Bull says "The space was conceived as an artist’s studio, a gallery of daring handmade shapes in concert with one another.
