This is a favourite in many houses. It is a staple cake that can be enjoyed in many different varieties, like this version. Thanks to Tanya Hubbard for coming up with the base recipe, and of course foodies like us can never keep recipes as they originally were, so here it is with a Changing Habits twist.

You can use regular cacao powder in place of cacao flakes. See low sugar alternative note for making this a low GI recipe.
