Tupasvilla Aged Care - Altro Timbersafe II - When the planning for a new service home for the elderly was started in Piikkiö in South-Western Finland, the designers had two particular goals in mind. They wanted to create an environment that would encourage the elderly to stay physically active. The other goal was to let the surrounding nature be present even when indoors. All in all, the Tupasvilla home was to be easy to live and work in as well as to visit.
