Making the IB PYP meaningful and authentic. These classroom posters include language from the International Baccalaureate’s description of the Learner Profile and IB Attitudes. Each profile trait comes with endearing and funny pictures of animals, to help visualise the meaning behind the words and their kid friendly explanations. The quotes are from well known people from the past and the present and tie in wonderfully to further reinforce the students understanding.
Practice spelling words-- or use this for a poetry activity. Students draw a big scribble on their page - remind them to leave big spaces in their scribble! Using coloured pencils, they can then fill the spaces with their words.
This sheet can be used as a reference for kids to use when stuck for something to write about, a fast finisher activity, a first week of school activity, or as a literacy center! Possible alternative to a heart map.
