Le Baron Rouge: The Quintessential Paris Wine Bar. A “must” for drinking is the Baron Rouge. It’s a packed wine bar near a covered market (Marché Aligre). Nothing fancy, but lots of fun. Seating is tough to come by, so you’re jammed in with locals taking a break from shopping to eat cheese and oysters and drink cheap wine from these big barrels lining the wall. It’s fun at night as well, but only open until 10 PM. 1 Rue Théophile Roussel, 75012

Le "Perfect Pairings" cocktail et huîtres du Solera

We already know that Paris’ right bank is busting with bars. But “la rive gauche” continues to slowly sneak up on its neighbor with some newer cocktail contenders like Solera.

The Bartender's Guide to the Parisian Cocktail Scene

In Paris, the wine bars are as diverse as the wine itself. There are wine shops that double as wine bars, where you can purchase bottles to go but also.

Want to know where those in the know head for natural wine in Paris? We asked sommelier Stefania Genisio - she of Bones, Belon and Fred's fame - to share her favourite wine bars for oysters, bar snacks and rare and artisanal wines in the French capital.

The French capital is suitably well-served when it comes to places to enjoy les huîtres (and a glass of dry white)
