It looks like the government and Labor are heading towards a compromise in negotiations that will see the Renewable Energy Target severely cut. The city of Austin in Texas recently made solar its default energy source - based purely on economics!   The state capital has set a target of producing 65% of its energy from solar by 2025 as a way to attain an affordable, stable energy supply. Yesterday Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey said he found wind turbines "quite appalling". This is after his comments in May to Alan Jones that he found wind turbines “utterly offensive”.  We couldn't agree more and found a great example of a how wind farms ruin a beautiful landscape.  Can you help Joe out and suggest to him some things that are more "appalling" than wind turbines?
