Carpobrotus rossii - Australian native plants

Pig face Carpobrotus glaucescens Succulent groundcover found on coastal dunes, vital in the stabilisation of sands. It has fleshy three-sided leaves and bright pink daisy flowers from spring to autumn. Useful rockery plant.

Junegrass (Koeleria macrantha) produces lustrous silver-green seedheads in early summer. The supporting foliage is an attractive green-gray color.  June Grass grows actively when soil temps are cooler- spring and fall. It prefers full sun and dry, sandy soil.  An excellent companion for shorter prairie flowers, such as Prairie Smoke and Lupine, Junegrass will not grow in clay.

June grass, Koeleria macrantha, is a widely-distributed prairie grass that flowers earlier than other upland grasses. It actively grows during the spring and fall when soil temperatures are cool. Prefers full sun and dry, sandy, soil.
