Houston to Dallas - 1 Day Road Trip
While the cities in Texas have a lot to offer, there is so much to explore outside the big smoke. However, considering Texas is the second largest state in America, figuring out what to do with limited time is challenging. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible though. With only a day on the road, we planned a route from Houston to Dallas that would allow us to see as much as possible between sunrise and sunset....

Where to eat in Santa Monica & Venice Beach, LA
You don’t have to walk far to find great places to eat and drink in Santa Monica and Venice. As lovers of food and avid viewers of food TV shows, we were keen to get to try a cuisine we had heard so much about – Texas BBQ. We had a lot of places on our list to try but couldn’t get to them all with only a few days in Houston. So, each lunchtime, we would pick a restaurant from our list that was closest to where we were that day. We had 3 lunches in Houston, so we tried 3 Texas BBQ joints... Before we began planning our trip to Texas, the only thing that came to mind when thinking of this city was “Houston, we have a problem”.
