French Creek Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located in French Creek, Upshur Co WV. It was built in 1866, & is a simple rectangular frame building with a white weatherboard exterior. It measures 50' x 40' & has a gable roof topped by a belfry. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
Slash Church - Erected in 1729-1732 as the Upper Church of Saint Paul's Parish. Reverend Patrick Henry, uncle of the famous patriot, served as rector from 1737 until 1777. This weatherboard structure survives as the oldest and best-preserved frame colonial church in Virginia. Photographed 8 Sep 2007 and Contributed by George Seitz.
