Diary of James Gilbert McDougall who recorded his observations of the flora and fauna around Yorke Peninsula when he was living in Edithburgh (articled to Mr E Gower). The entries date from 2 January 1886 to 16 October 1887. The diary includes two small painted sketches on card of insects, and a pencil sketch of seeds, which were originally placed loose in volume. At rear of volume are two indexes, for 1886 and 1887 observations.
I hadn’t actually expected very much – I was just going to a National Park! Well; what a surprise! Innes National Park has something for everyone – walks, bicycle rides, surf, shipwrecks, stunning beaches, birds and wildlife, history galore and a variety of accommodation and camping choices.
