The PRINCE CONSORT WINDOW - A gift of Queen Victoria in memory of her husband Prince Albert, it was originally intended for Saint Paul’s Church Melbourne, but would not fit Canon Chase, the father of vicar of Saint John's Sorrento and Rye, arranged for it to be given to Saint John’s in 1886. It is a fine example of nineteenth century stained glass, and depicts the three kings of Judah who did “that which was right in the eyes of the Lord,” David, Hezekiah, and Josiah.
