I think I want a mermaid tattoo. Something to represent my immense love of the water and because many of my swim instructors used to jokingly refer to me as a mermaid when I swam. I'm immensely interested in their lore, as well. If I do end up getting one, it'll be more on the feminine, classic nautical folklore side than the "rainbows, unicorns and mermaids" side. Perhaps even pin-uppy.
