The Alma Hotel, Willunga
WILLUNGA: The Alma Hotel was opened on the 18th September 1856, and William Toll was the first licensee until March 1867.In 1894 Mr. George Webb, late of the Willunga Hotel, bought the hotel and it remained in the family until recent years. Truck driving through water
One of a series of 38 photographs taken during a trip along the Birdsville Track in 1939, this image shows a partially loaded truck, a Diamond T, wading across flats near Seven Mile Bore. The wooden poles used to to extract the truck from bogs can be seen in their spot sticking out from under the tray. A number of people are riding on the load on the tray of the truck.
