Looks like whoever did the job had no access to standard editing software. Seriously though, just in case anyone was wondering where all the greatest women artists, writers & composers of the past are to be found, I can only conclude that they have been systematically removed from the history books. Erasing the feminine: thoughts on the beauty of Virginia Woolf
Okay, so here's the thing. When searching out the most beautiful photos of women of extreme intelligence, talent and influence of the past, you may just discover hoards of photographs showing expressions of fear, sadness, general plainness and then the few paintings that remain, revealing a person of extraordinary beauty.
