If I was to recreate a similar print I would photograph different leaves and scan them into illustrator or photoshop. I would then adapted the images by separately editing each leave using Photoshop selection tools magic wand and adjustments such as resizing- making some leaves larger than others, duplicating - creating multiple prints ,levels to form darker shadows,channel mixer- brightening individual colours, hue and saturation, brightness and contrast.
