The BEST First Day Ever!

I think that I had the best first day ever in all of my MANY years of teaching! I just love my class! We did lots of team building and getting to know you activities today and not much meat. I learned a LOT about some of my kiddos! One of them is even PERFECT (just ask him!) One of the things we did today was the sticky note posters - you know which ones. They are all over Pinterest. Question of the Day

The first month of school flew by! I adore my SK/1 kiddos and we are having so much fun together! Everyday the students move their own magnet to the YES or NO cookie sheet to answer our question of the day. So simple, and they love it! I just covered the cookie sheets with scrapbook paper, and covered some cardstock with a transparency for the question page (to make it dry-erase).

Question of the Day Pack!! Many followers of my blog were very interested in the Data Board I created. I use ‘Question of the Day’ as a warm up activity included as part of my morning work time. Kids come into the class and after their regular routines, they read the Question (either independently or with a partner), which is in a standing binder

Love this for question of the day - Use to take attendance, as well as to collect, chart, graph, and analyze information. Students can record answers daily in a math notebook.
