Adele Astaire (1896–1981) was an American dancer and entertainer. She was Fred Astaire's elder sister, and his partner in a 27-year career in vaudeville and theater, beginning when he was five and she was eight. Unlike her brother, Adele was extremely gregarious and took great delight in shocking friends and strangers alike.

Adele "Delly" Astaire in 1919 (Fred's older sister, they had a successful vaudeville act) She retired from dancing to marry Lord Charles Cavendish, the second son of the Duke of Devonshire, and moved to Ireland, where they lived at Lismore Castle.
