We did not listen!  Benjamin Rush (January 4, 1746 – April 19, 1813) was a Founding Father of the United States. Rush lived in the state of Pennsylvania and was a physician, writer, educator, humanitarian, as well as the founder of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Benjamin Rush was a physician in Philadelphia that argued for women's education. He believed that women should receive intellectual training. He wrote "Thoughts on Female Education" This idea of female education was s big advancement.

Benjamin Rush (1746-1813) was a physician, writer, educator, humanitarian and founder of Dickinson College.  He was a delegate to the Continental Congress from Pennsylvania and signed the Declaration of Independence.  He served as Surgeon General in the Continental Army and is remembered for his criticism of George Washington.
