80 years ago Helen started selling goods made by American craftspeople. A trip to Berea, Kentucky in search of chairs to fit young Sunday School students turned into another endeavor altogether. There, Helen would discover a variety of items that she thought would interest the folks back in Columbus. In a time when such things were only purchased directly from the maker, Helen brought the art to the people and a most marvelous tradition was born.  #localhistory #columbusohio #helenwinnemores
