Yes exactly!!! When you "held the door for me," so to speak, I wanted to know: is he holding the door for me because he wants to feel good about himself and look like a gallant gentleman, or because he sees that I'm tired and doesn't want me to have to hold the door? And I was foolish to think it's that black and white, to think it can't be both. That was all about my issue with myself.
