Create a foyer. Columned room divider with low shelves separates front door from living area in an open, simple way. Would be a good way to create an entryway if I remove the wall there now and especially if the wall turns out to be load-bearing.
We don’t have a true entryway or foyer. The small area behind the chair acts as our “entry.” Peg hooks give guests a place to hang their coats and the bench is a great spot for stashing deliveries until we open them.
Add a vestibule. If your front door opens directly into your living space, consider building a small vestibule. A petite glassed-in version,. ~LOVE this idea. If only my living room was bigger I would totally have this built.
