Home - Shining C Grulla Horses. In LOVE with this website.

His name is “Shining In Silver”…he’s an AQHA yearling stallion…tested double homozygous for the black and dun factor… owned by Shining C Grulla Horses…“Shining In Silver” is a grulla with no cream gene. Imagine what he will look like in a couple of years!

Red Dun - dorsal stripe on a red dun horse. A red dun horse is a chestnut horse affected by the dun dilution. This dilution lightens the horse's body and gives it darker points and a dorsal stripe (a stripe down its back). Many duns also have shoulder stripes and zebra striping on their legs. A few also have cobwebbing on their foreheads, shadowing, and pale guard hairs.

There you can see the dorsal stripe very clearly. Often the dorsal stripe is not this dark on red duns.

The Kiger Mustang is a strain of Mustang horse located in the southeastern part of the U. state of Oregon. Originally feral horses with specific conformation traits discovered in the name also applies to their bred-in-captivity progeny.
