Paul Cézanne, Jeune garçon au gilet rouge (boy in a red waistcoat), recovered in Serbia in 2012 after it was stolen with three other works in the day-time raid on the Foundation E. Bührle in Zürich, Switzerland in February
Madonna of Bruges Sculptor: Michelangelo Best Known For Michelangelo is widely regarded as the most famous artist of the Italian Renaissance. Among his works are the David and Pieta statues and the Sistine Chapel frescoes.
In this project, students are asked to take a famous piece of art and increases its size by a scale factor of at least three. The extra challenge is that each piece of art is divided into pieces and each student only gets a portion of the original.
