A ghostly and bizarre recording of Lead Belly singing "Goodnight Irene" that was recorded by John and Alan Lomax for the Library of Congress ca, 1935. The original song was actually about gambling, and the lyrics were obscured because gambling was illegal in the penitentiary where he wrote the song.
