Tudor Costume - can you imagine this as a wedding dress for a winter wedding?

From the 1955 MGM period drama, “Diane” comes this magnificent champagne velvet pearl-encrusted period court gown worn by Lana Turner and designed by Walter Plunkett.

In fact Mary I wore this style of collar until relatively late in her reign; she retained typically "Tudor" styles after they had gone out of fashion elsewhere.
