In many towns you see the grand Painted Ladies in the center of town which are the Queen Anne home built by the well to do that moved in with the Railroad. Then in the Farms you have the typical Farmhouse. The Folk Victorian was built by these simple farmers who moved to town for work on the rails. In seeing the Grander homes of the rich they began to humble imitate the style with simpler trims and handmade adornments. Thus, the Folk Victorian was born...beautiful..honest and humble.
