A fish design by Townhill Studio. Using mainly mokume and ori nui shibori stitch resist techniques to make this leaping fish. So much variety from using simple variations in techniques in beautiful indigo.
Materials: cup flour, + a few extra tablespoons cup water 2 teaspoons alum mixer fabric stretcher bars tacks fine tip squeeze bottle or icing tips fabric dye/fabric paint paint brush spray bottle iron parchment paper or press cloth
Make a Flour-paste crackle effect- Spread flour-water mixture over fabric, let dry. Crush to crackle it, then paint fabric. The dried flour mixture acts as a resist. Then washes out. This might work for a "batik" look, too! Use 1 cup flour with cup water
