'My favourite place to read is ... anywhere! The iPad picture book apps get a workout at the swimming pool with my three year old while we wait for big sister to finish her laps. The latest favourite is The Very Cranky Bear - she even took it to daycare to share with her friends on NSS day!' -Clare
'I'll read with my girls on the floor, at swimming and in bed, but for me our reading corner is the ultimate luxury! Old (some would say ugly) brown chairs, a stack of weekend papers and shelves filled with favourite books and a coffee table with the latest loan from the library!' -Clare
'On a lovely weekend morning you will find me with my “reading buddy” sprawled out on the lawn under a tree, soaking up the start of a beautiful day. Towel, water, sunglasses and a book I can’t put down are essential to a perfect lazy morning in my favourite reading spot!' -Alicia
'This would be one of my favourite places to read, the Queensland State Library! Their gigantic roof to floor glass windows offer an amazing view of the city and the Brisbane River. Snuggling into a corner which looks out onto the river I can read non-stop for the whole day.' -Veronica
This is my favorite place to relax and read. Especially if i can find a ray of sunshine to curl up in. It's Chicory Cottage - Our family holiday house in Phillip Island.
'This is a photo one of my friends snapped of me reading whilst waiting for the others to come down from Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador. At this point we were down to about 5500mtrs above sea level, I needed to stay awake after a midnight start (it was 10am at this point) so I pulled out my favourite adventure magazine and started scheming the next challenge! I am from Tasmania but have been traveling and climbing mountains since April 2010.' -Ben
'I love to read, but most of all a comfortable chair is necessary, it doesn't matter if friends look over your shoulder! I own over a thousand books, and read every day, the electronic method of reading, which is now becoming popular, has never interested me. I would much rather curl up with a real book, turn the pages, feel the paper, and second hand books are even better than new, they have character!' -Ziggy
'Due to 4 open heart surgeries and the resulting 2 very groovy but loudly ticking metal heart valves I do most of most of my reading on, or in my bed. Now the room fills with winter sun and I have all I need at hand. I had my bed especially made for me a few years ago, thus it is perfectly comfortable for long reading sessions.' -Jane
'I read everywhere ... A compulsive reader, I read on the bus, plane, train, cafes, parks and everywhere in between. But nothing beats curling up in your favourite chair with a great stack of books at hand ... That's if the cat hasn't snagged it first!' -Jacq
'I love reading as much as I can but I particularly love the uninterrupted reading you get on holidays. Here is a favourite spot at Apollo Bay for a winter holiday. Sitting by the fire or in the spa and this is the view!
