This scene showed lovely natural light with the beauty of autumn colours on the trees which lined the road, and provided leading lines into the landscape. I used a handheld Nikon D7000 camera, set on auto with flash off, ISO was 100, shutter speed was fast at 1/250 second due to the speed of the cars, f/stop was 7.1 and focal length was 42mm.

This photo was taken in fading light, which added to the background, although the sky didn't change colour on this particular evening. I like the composition and content of the photo. ISO was high on 720, 1/60, f/4, 26mm lens.

This photo was taken in the early afternoon light with some shade. I set up the tripod to focus on a broom before taking the shot, then switched the lens to manual focus, turned off the flash and too the shot with a 10 second timer. The camera settings were ISO 200, f stop was 6.3 and the exposure was 1/160 sec.

The hay bales in the foreground and cattle in the distance add some different focal points to this shot, with the road still leading into the scene. I handheld the camera, on Auto and with no flash – the settings were 1/800 sec. f/6.3, focal length of 90mm and ISO on 200.

This photo has leading lines to draw the viewer's eye into the scene. I haven't used this photo in any assignments as such, but like it just the same.

L1M1AP2. The full sun shot was harsher light and I didn't think it turned out as nice as the shaded shot. Settings were 1/250, f/8, 26mm, ISO 100.
