Thokcha, Tibetan Amulets, Tibetan & Himalayan Ritual Art
A blog for the Tibetan amulets known as Thogchags (Tibetan: thog lcags) or Thokcha. They are worn by Tibetans and people of the Himalayan regions for protection, healing and ritual ceremonies. Amulets can be seen in many different forms and are often associated with tantric deities. They can also represent ritual items such as a phurba or vajra.

Vintage kimono from an old Japanese family photo album that I'm scanning and posting. This one doesn't have a studio stamp and I'm not sure of the age, but maybe 1930s? If you have any ideas about age, feel free to post them.
