For me, painting is an exercise in intuition, trial and error and learning. Every artwork is a puzzle to piece together and a mystery to solve. There are always bits that flow and parts that stump me. Often it's frustrating and sometimes I wish I could walk away. And then, in art as in life, there's a way through and a story to be told and something to discover. This messy, dried up palette signals the end of this painting’s creation.
