RAAF Hornet A21-27 features a WW2 style desert camouflage scheme. (Jaryd Stock) A Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18A Hornet has been painted in 3 Squadron World War 2 desert camouflage colours to celebrate the unit’s centenary.  3 Squadron is one of four RAAF units celebrating their centenary this year, along with 1, 2 and 4 Squadrons, all of which were formed in 1916 during World War 1 as part of the then Australian Flying Corps.
