South-West National Park, Tasmania. Taken deep in the remote, snake infested wilderness of South West Tasmania. We spent 4 days camped on this alpine plateau photographing this unique and fragile environment. Also this is my first posted image from my new Sony A7R and 16-35 f/4 combo, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the quality, sharpness and dynamic range this little thing puts out!

I have taken this photograph in the Southwest National Park of Tasmania also known as "The Great Wilderness". With 618.267 ha this is the biggest national park in Tasmania and one of the intentions for its foundation 1976 was to create a retreat area for the Tasmanian Tiger which was actually already exterminated.
