The Blue Pools
The "Blue Pools" were one of the mini hikes I did on the way from Franz Josef glacier to Queestown. Yes the water really is this color -- And unbeleivably clear. The glacial water you find in much of the South Island of New Zealand has a fine silt in it that gives the water its amazing color.

This is also one of the images I took during my first stay in New Zealand. The tide was low when I reached the Moeraki Boulders and the water didn't reach the stones. I had some really nice light and clouds, so I tried a few vertical shots including the boulders and the sky.
