The Australian Parrot Family includes lorikeets and rosellas and they are closely related to Cockatoos (see separate board). They are mostly brightly coloured birds. All parrots have curved beaks and four toes on each foot, two facing forwards and the other two backwards, allowing them to hold food with them. Most parrots eat fruit, flowers, buds, nuts, seeds, and some small insects.
