Click through for VIDEO. Melbourne artist Warren Crossett has won the prestigious Doug Moran National Portrait Prize for his self-portrait inspired by St Jerome of Flanders. The $150,000 reward is thought to be the world's most generous art prize and was announced in Sydney at Juniper Hall in Paddington on Wednesday. Having worked as a commercial and children's book illustrator for most of his career, it was the first time Crossett had entered an art competition.
