The Len Lye Centre and the the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth. The Len Lye Centre is a new building (2015), the shimmering, iridescent colonnade façade, manufactured locally using stainless steel, and the first museum in New Zealand devoted to a single artist. The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery (right) opened on 22 February 1970, in what was then the unused Regent cinema building.
