North Stradbroke Island (Straddie) is our favourite holiday destination and it only takes us a little over an hour (car and ferry) to get to Point Lookout. My wife has been holidaying there since she was two and we started holidaying as a family in 1983. Straddie is the second largest sand island in the world.
Situated opposite the stunning North Gorge Walk at Point Lookout, Fishes at the Point has a good all day cafe and takeaway menu, specialising in fresh, local Straddie seafood. A good place to have lunch when visiting North Stradbroke Island.
We had lunch at Fishes at the Point in August The fish and chips (and the coffee) were a little disappointing though we were suffering from the flu at the time.
