Ned Kelly - Australian Criminal. Fantasized himself as a "Robin Hood" type of outlaw. After being hunted by authorities for several years, police closed in on him and his gang. He was tried and convicted of numerous crimes including the murders of several policemen. His last words on the gallows at Melbourne before being hanged were, "Such is Life." (Memorial stone in Greta Cemetery).

Mortuary Station:  This station in Regent St, near Central, Sydney was built for funeral trains to leave from, headed for the city's grand new cemetery, the Necropolis, at Rookwood. It operated from 1867 to 1948. Beautifully restored, it is rarely open to the public.
