African Safari

We went on a once in a lifetime safari in the Masai Mara region of Kenya with Freeman Safaris. This was a small intimate camp in tents along a river with good food and wonderful company. Brian is an amazing man dedicated to the animals and the people and treats all of his customers like family. This is a great safari choice if you're into photography. Highly recommend it!

Hippopotamus in Kenya. They are ridiculously cute as calves - and highly dangerous as grown-ups!

Vultures waiting for the remains of a hippo that the lions are feasting on. We watched the feed for about an hour. The lions were exahusted! Hippo is not easy to eat!

You might wonder about the perspective here. This young cheetah decided to jump up on our Land Rover right above my head. It scared the living daylights out of me but I still got the shot!

Loved the hippos! There was a hippo pool in the river by our camp and the hippos would come up at night and graze on grass right outside our tent!
