Crossroads Church began in 1991 with a few families, and today over 2,000 people attend. A United Methodist Church, Crossroads Church now operates three multi-site campus locations & provides a multi-venue experience at their main campus in Oakdale as a video venue.
Evangel Temple - This project is a two story, 27,800 S.F. education addition to Evangel Temple’s existing 1000 seat worship facility. The new addition boasts an enlarged secondary entrance and foyer with a unique café/bistro area highlighted by large expanses of exterior windows and ceiling treatments with specialty lighting to accentuate the character of the space.
Graceway is in the heart of Kansas City and Raytown, sharing a city limits line that actually runs through their facilities! Spinning from a recently failed attempt to launch a building project, the church re-analyzed their needs. To lead and facilitate this process, they called upon Mantel Teter Architects and their strategic planning partner, Strategic Dimensions.
The EǾE or Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity House was originally built in 1954 with two subsequent building additions completed in the early 60’s and late 80’s. After 50 years of intense use and minimal maintenance, an extensive renovation became essential for its survival in Manhattan’s competitive housing market.
THE FAMILY CHURCH (TFC) is comprised of real people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced God’s love and have come together to connect with each other and to worship God. TFC is a place for everyone, regardless of questions, doubts, backgrounds, or struggles. The Family Church, previously Church of the Good Shepherd, was born out of a Healing Revival in the 1940s.
The Salvation Army has provided an invaluable community service at 420 East Santa Fe and the City of Olathe for many years. They have relied upon Mantel Teter to develop a Chapel Addition that will continue to serve Olathe and the surrounding Johnson County area. The 8,500 square foot addition seats close to 300 congregation members and allows the organization to dedicate their existing gymnasium for other community activities.
With the potential to develop onto added acreage, creating a church and school campus, River of Life Church called on Mantel Teter to reevaluate their Master Plan and to design their next phase to be constructed.
