This image shows movement particularly well as you can almost feel that it is moving with the wind. It makes me feel peaceful. The light is shining brightly on the right hand side of the image and we can confirm this by seeing the shadows on the left side of the tree. The way the sky blends blue to white is also very pretty
I took a photo of this rock, as i noticed that it was a different colour from all the rest. At a vantage point of a bug, I focused on the rock itself, capturing the plants behind and blurring out the background. I like the shadow shown on the rock and how i am able to see the little dips in the rock which are filled with sand
I focused mainly on using the rule of thirds in this image, as well as putting the background out of focus. However, the image is plain and doesnt attract attention at all as there is very little colour and the background being very bland with dead grass and few leaves. If i had found a different angle, perhaps the image could be improved very much.
Colour contrast is what i had tried to achieve in this image. It worked quite well as there is light and dark contrast on the rocks. Some are light, some are shadowed. Not all the rocks are in focus and this creates depth of field, my vantage is of myself, but if of a bug, the change could have been much more improved.
DIRECTION: At a vantage point of a bird, this image shows clearly the change of the sand to water, to moss. The texture of the sand came up nicely as it seem soft. We get this effect because of the shoes printed it.The leaf in the middle, even if it is so small, feels as if it is the focal point of the image as i find that my eyes wandering back to it wherever i look.
PATHWAY: This image shows depth of field by a pathway shown in the middle of the plants. The tree at the the end seems as if it is a silhouette as the light source is shining brightly on the plants. The colour of the sky is radiant and is the last thing you see as the eye follows the pathway from the bottom to the top. I have also followed the rule of thirds where the sky begins plus the tree as they intercept.
OUT OF FOCUS: Using a coke cap off the floor, i used it to frame the flags. This frame, became blurry and catches the viewers attention. Unknowingly, the plants on the right hand side of the image is is focus while the rest of the background is not. The light source is coming from behind the mountain which is reflecting on the plants on the floor, on the roof, and the coke cap itself
WIND ALONG THE TREES: This image shows both depth of field and framing. The effect of depth of field is shown by the rows of tree that are leaning into each other. Framing was also made by this, which creates a semi circle at the back of the trees. The sand is out of focus which is a nice effect as all of our attention is on the semi-circle. The light source is not obvious but i assume it is high up in the sky, reflecting light on everything.
BLUR: Even though the plant closest to the camera is not in focus, it appears to be the focal point. It is the first thing the eye is drawn to and it is using the rule of thirds vertically on the right hand side of the photograph. The other subject that follows the rule of thirds, is horizontal near the top of the image. If observed carefully, it is seen that the light is coming from the right.
